Kevin and Beth met in college through mutual friends fell in love and will spend the rest of their lives together…Now for the whole story:
The scene: a rowdy college bar
Beth took a brake from dancing, her new shoes were killing her,she sat down searching for relief. Kevin came over (they knew each other through mutual friends but had never really had a conversation) Kevin preceded to tell Beth that he was “falling in love with her”, Beth a little confused laughed his confession off and Kevin walked away.
The scene: Beth’s house, she shares it with 2 good friends
“Who is that weird kid Kevin? He kept telling me he was in love with me…” said Beth
The scene: A party celebrating homecoming
Beth spent the day partaking in homecoming fun, Kevin had to work (as a pizza man). Once Beth’s inhibitions were lowered she suddenly had the urge to call Kevin and see why he was missing from the party Kevin, confused but excited, told her he would be there soon he just had to get cleaned up from his long day at work, Beth told Kevin she would be waiting for him, Kevin was intrigued…
The scene: A Social Distortion concert in providence RI
Homecoming happened to be Kevin’s roommates birthday and they had tickets to a Social Distortion to celebrate, somehow an extra ticket surfaced and Beth jumped at the chance to go (even though she had no idea who Social Distortion was). The night was a blur for Beth the concert was exhilarating. Kevin warned Beth to stay away from the mosh pit not knowing Beth has a tendency to do things shes told not to. Needless to say Beth didn’t listen, Kevin scooped Beth up when she inevitably fell and no harm was done…
By the end of the night Kevin and Beth were inseparable they stayed up talking all night and began to fall in love
The next 6 years…
Beth and Kevin live down the shore have the most amazing fun summers of their lives
Beth moves to San Diego, Kevin comes 4 months later
Beth gets into graduate school
Kevin agrees to move to NYC leaving San Diego, a lifestyle he loves, and the opportunity to surf everyday
Kevin and Beth take NYC by storm
The scene: A typical Wednesday night in Kevin and Beth’s apartment
Beth is sitting on the couch when Kevin comes home from work, her hair is in a towel the freshly cleaned and folded laundry is spread around the living room. Kevin goes in the bedroom and asks Beth to come talk to him. Beth asks how his day was Kevin says it was great and it was going to get even better because he was about to ask her to marry him. Kevin gets down on one knee and proposes presenting Beth with the most beautiful ring she had ever seen, she recognized it right away as the ring her grandmother wore for 65 years
